Gen. (R) Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Zulkiple was appointed as Chairman of Global Mahawangsa Sdn Bhd in October 2022. Prior to this, He had just retired from his 42 year service in the Malay-sian Army. He started his career with Malaysian Army in January 1977 and received his military training as officer cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst United Kingdom.On 7 April 1978, he was commissioned into the Royal Malay Regiment as 2nd Lieutenant.
He has vast knowledge and experience in management, administration, leadership, training and logistic obtained from the various important positions held throughout the 42 years. Amongst the important positions held by him were as Director of Infantry at Army HQ, com-mander 4th brigade (mechanise), Director of Veteran Affairs, General Officer Commanding 4th Infantry Division, Commander Army Field Command and Chief of Army Malaysia.
Currently, Gen. (R) Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Zulkiple is a member of the Board of Directors of Widad Group Berhad. He has no family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of Widad Group Berhad and has no conflict of interest with Widad Group Berhad. He has not been convicted of any offences other than traffic offences, if any, within the past five (5) years and has not been imposed of any public sanction or penalty by the regulatory bodies during the financial year.

Dato’ Othman holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. From 1983-1990, he was the Assistant Director at Ministry of Trade & Industry, Malaysia. After completing his MBA in 1992, he joined the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI), Malaysia, as Assistant Director in the Industries Division Machinery and Engineering Unit / Transport and Shipping Unit. From 1996 to 2001, he was the Group General Manager of AIC Corporation Bhd and Autoindustries Ventures Bhd. In 2002, he became the Executve Chairman of Tegas Wira Sdn Bhd where he was responsible in managing the company construction business including participating in government tender. From 2003-2007, he served as Senior General Manager at Fablelite Sdn Bhd, and
from 2007-2009, he served as the General Manager at Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd. In 2009, he was appointed as CEO of Secretariat Malaysia Prihatin (SMP), and from 2011-2015, he was the Chairman of Widad Builders Sdn Bhd where he managed, guided and advised the management of the company involved in construction industry and facility management for offices. Currently, he sits as the Executive Chairman of Arriz Abadi Sdn Bhd and the CEO of Yayasan Royal Widad.

Almost 3 years running as the Chief Operating Officer in a successful publication company, Vic is a visionary leader who brings transformative change and establishes organizational vision to adapt to ever-changing business environments. Being in his position also means that he has to overcome complex business challenges and make high-stake decisions using experience-based judgement, as well as maintain strong work ethics with irreproachable integrity.
Chracterized as a visionary, strategist and tactician, Vic has a consistent record of delivering extraordinary results in growth, revenue, operational performances, and profitability. Also experienced for almost 5 years as a Special Officer to CEOs and Directors, he is directly involved in multimillion-dollar projects in various sectors, mainly Defence, Aviation and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
